    What's included with my website?

We give you everything you need for a professional website. To review what's included in our complete website package, please choose below

  • Websites for Home Inspectors

  • Websites for Real Estate Agents

  • Websites for Commercial Real Estate Firms and Properties

  • Websites for other types of businesses

Are Market Hardware websites compatible with all browsers?

Most people don't realize that websites look different depending on the browser used to view them. A site that works perfectly in Microsoft's Internet Explorer might not work at all when someone views it using AOL's browser. To make sure your site doesn't disappear down the drain, we test every website we design with the following 5 browsers for Windows (and 2 for the Mac!)

    On Windows:

    • AOL 7.0
    • Microsoft's Internet Explorer 4.0
    • Microsoft's Internet Explorer 5.0
    • Microsoft's Internet Explorer 5.5
    • Mozilla 1.3
    On the Mac:
    • Microsoft's Internet Explorer 5.2
    • Safari 1.0

Can I use Market Hardware as my ISP?

No, actually. Market Hardware provides the facilities to publish your website and host your email, but it does not provide the actual 'connection' for you to connect to the internet from home or at work. So, if you use an ISP at home like AOL or earthlink, you'll need to maintain that account.

I don't want to lose my 'old' email address!

Great News! Market Hardware can forward your email to your original account. That way you can have a 'business' email address and a 'personal' email address. Of course, you'll still need to maintain your other account (i.e. You will still pay AOL to keep your AOL account).

    Market Hardware Logos

    How does this work?

Finding a great logo is a lot easier and quicker than you think. In fact, it's as simple as this:

    Spot a design you like.
We have a large, diverse, and high quality design inventory. In fact, we boast the largest inventory of high quality logo designs in the world. This inventory makes it easier for you to buy from us, because you can see what you are buying before you purchase, even buying directly "off-the-shelf".

Just browse through the categories, looking at logos that fit your industry and image, and pick a design that looks good to you.

Make it your own using our online Logo Customizer.
Our Customizer operates on the designs in our inventory and allows non-designers to break apart elements of a design and fully personalize the positions, colors, text and fonts of a design. Add your name, change the font, and click on the elements create a logo that's entirely your own.

Save your logo, and create variations.
There is no need to register until you're ready to save or buy an item. When you are ready to save your first logo, we will ask you for a few pieces of information to set up your account and create a place for your designs to be saved. If you want to create different versions of your logo (same logo with different colors, or different fonts, for example), you can keep them here. And if you want to show them to your friends and colleagues for input, you can send them here.

Buy your custom logo with any major credit card, download the finished electronic file, and be on your way!
We'll supply you with all the electronic file formats you'll need to use the logo in the real world. Best of all, your logo is archived here in your account, so you always know exactly where to go when you need to print business cards, want to add it to your new website, or just want to sit back and admire it.

So what are you waiting for? Click here and let the fun begin...

What's the difference between exclusive and non-exclusive Logos?

Our designs are unique and professionally designed using strict guidelines for quality and usability in print and on the web. When you buy a logo from Market Hardware, you get a great price, you save days (if not weeks!) of creative time, and you get to See It First(tm)

There are two ways to purchase a logo from Market Hardware.

Purchase a logo with exclusive rights to use.
You will be the sole owner of your design. If we offer a design exclusively it means that we have not ever, nor will we ever sell that design to another customer. You can use it anywhere you like. You may trademark your logo or claim intellectual or exclusive ownership of the design. Once you purchase it from us, we will disclaim any right to the artwork.

Purchase a logo with non-exclusive rights to use.
Market Hardware offers tiered pricing based on your desired level of exclusivity. Selling certain designs non-exclusively allows us to provide you with a custom handcrafted logo design for a few hundred dollars which would otherwise cost thousands to produce. With our great designs and your personalization, we dare anyone to tell the difference!

Buying a logo non-exclusively means that:
    • the price is MUCH lower than owning exclusively,
    • you agree not to trademark your logo or to claim intellectual or exclusive ownership of the design, and
    • we may sell that design as a starting place for someone else's logo at a later date (of course, their final design will have a different look based on their company name and personalizations).
You can modify the logo any way you want and use it anywhere you desire, although you may not resell or redistribute it (because, hey, you didn't buy it exclusively).

How do I know I'm picking the right logo?

Which logos do you remember? What's communicated immediately in those logos? Where are those logos used?

A logo does it's job well when:

It's Memorable. To stick in people's craw your logo needs to stand out from whatever crowd it's standing in (and there's always a crowd somewhere).

It Works Hard. Whether it's quickly getting across what you do or reinforcing an important message about how you do it, a good logo will do its share to communicate the net impression of your business.

It's Usable, Consistently. Folks won't remember even the most unique logo if they only see it once or if it looks different each time they come across it. So you also need a logo that looks good in all the different places it will live. And that's a lot of places - in print, on the web, embroidered on a t-shirt, on a sign, on a truck, on a pen even.

All the designs in our collection were created to be memorable and usable and to come to life as hard working communicators when matched up with the story of your business.

What are those lines in my design?

Sometimes we have to put very thin lines in your design to separate the internal and external elements, which helps us color each section properly. Don’t worry, once you purchase it, we’ll make sure that none of these lines appear in your final design.

    Using the Customizer

    Working with Text

A logo always looks better with your own name on it!

There are two text fields available on every one of our designs, "Company Name," and "Tag Line." Some designs also have text on the graphic itself (usually in the form of an initial).

To change the position of the text, click on it once, and drag it to its new location.

To change the text itself, double-click on it, and type in new text.

To change the color of the text, click on the color tab. Click on the text you want to change, and then click on a color from the palettes above.

    Working with Color

To change the color of any part of your logo, just click on the item to select it, and choose a color from any of the three palettes at the top of the Customizer. This will change the color of the logo element you selected, and at the same time will add that color to the Selected Colors palette.

To go back to an original color the logo started with, click on the item to select it, then click on the color in the Original Colors palette.

To match colors within your logo (for instance, to make your company name match the color of the graphic), select the item you want changed, then click on the color in any of the three palettes. Then select the item you want matched, and click on the color in Selected Colors palettes.

    Working with Position

Market Hardware's logos are always made up of a number of elements. By clicking on each element and dragging it, you can move parts of the logo into the position that looks best.

For instance, the design you selected may have the company name underneath the logo, while you'd rather have it to the right. Just click on the name, and drag it to where you want it.

You can also use "Nudging" to fine-tune position -- just select a logo part and use your keyboard's arrow keys to maneuver it into place.

    Using the Preview Button

Add your name, change colors, even move the parts of the logo around. Then, when you are ready to see your logo, click "Preview".

The "Save" button appears after you've previewed the design. So once you're happy with it, you can click "Save" to move it into your account where you can hang on to it while you decide whether you like it, or jump right in and buy it today.

    Saving Designs

Once you save a design to your account you can go back and make multiple versions of the same design. That way you'll be able to compare and choose which colors and sizes you like best. You can even use Market Hardware to get input about the different versions from friends and colleagues.

Once you've purchased the logo, we'll keep a copy of your design online for you so that you can access it to use in your online documents, send to your printer, or just keep handy for the future.

Creating Different Versions of the Same Logo

Once you've saved a design, you may want to create various versions of a design - say, using different color schemes, or with different taglines. "Create a Copy" lets you do that.

    1. Clicking on the "Create a Copy" link. This generates a second copy of your saved logo.
    2. Use the "Edit" link in that copy to go back to the Customizer to make changes and create an alternative version.
    3. Save the new version to your account using a different name. (it's essentially the same procedure as using "save as" in Microsoft Word).
    4. Repeat as necessary.

Using the Edit Function with a Saved Logo

If you need to fine-tune your logo after you've saved it, click on the "Edit" link to bring the logo back into the Customizer.
